Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager for a direct hire opportunity in San Jose, CA with a banking and consumer lending organization. Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily branch operations, ensuring efficient workflow, strong customer service, and compliance with banking policies and procedures.
- Manage, coach, and develop branch team members to achieve sales, service, operational, and performance goals.
- Build and maintain customer relationships while identifying opportunities for deposits, loans, consumer lending products, and additional banking services.
- Monitor branch performance metrics, staffing needs, risk controls, cash handling, audits, and operational standards.
- Support business development efforts through community involvement, local relationship building, and customer retention strategies.
- Resolve escalated customer issues professionally while promoting a positive branch environment and high service standards.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $85,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.

- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal controls, risk management practices, and audit standards.

- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in banking, retail banking, consumer lending, branch operations, or related financial services.
- Prior experience managing or supervising a bank branch, financial center, or customer-facing banking team.
- Strong knowledge of retail banking products, deposit accounts, consumer lending, branch operations, and customer relationship management.
- Ability to coach teams, motivate employees, track performance goals, and create accountability.
- Strong understanding of banking compliance, risk controls, cash handling, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Ability to build relationships with customers, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Professional judgment, integrity, confidentiality, and a service-focused leadership style.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing branch sales goals, customer growth initiatives, and community banking relationships.
- Familiarity with consumer lending, loan referrals, account opening processes, and cross-selling banking products.
- Prior success improving branch performance, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, or operational audit results.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, banking, management, or a related field is helpful but not required unless specified by the hiring organization.
