Medical Assistant Opportunity

The Healing Hut is a patient-centered medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing team and support both providers and patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms.
• Perform phlebotomy and/or injections (if applicable).
• Manage lab orders, specimen handling, and results.
• Update and maintain accurate medical records in the EMR.
• Communicate with patients via phone, email, and patient portal.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols.
• Support overall clinic flow and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using EMR systems and basic office technology.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor.
• Must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning, including clinic-specific processes and continuing education.
