Accountant

Accountant The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Experience with JDE ERP systems and OneStream would be helpful.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Readies and maintains financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles, and performing analytical, evaluative, and advisory work that requires an understanding of accounting theory and practice. Utilizes knowledge of fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy, and often requires understanding of related fields such as business law, statistics, and general management. Prepares journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments. Performs balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts. Manages fixed asset records and reporting. Supports month‑end and year‑end close processes to meet deadlines. Ensures timely preparation and submission of financial and management reports. Prepares and uploads financial results to Head Office reporting systems. Supports filings and other regulatory compliance requirements. Assists with sales reporting and forecasting activities. Assists with city and state sales tax filing and TRIP reporting. Monitors and helps implement associated internal controls in support of Internal Audit. Assists with internal and external audit requirements. Performs ad‑hoc work assigned by a manager. QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in full‑cycle accounting with a strong understanding of general accounting principles and month‑end result reporting. Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems. Experience with AR/AP is a plus. Proficiency in spreadsheets, email, word processing, and presentation software; extremely proficient in financial modeling and analysis, utilizing Excel formulas. Experience or understanding of Excel add‑in applications like OneStream. Experience with database programs and business intelligence programs such as Power BI and Business Objects. OneStream and JDE system experience will be useful. Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, technicians, and assemblers in English. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
