Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end certification and testing projects for electrical and electronic products, ensuring timely execution and delivery.

Develop test plans, methodologies, and equipment requirements for new, complex, or non-standard products.

Evaluate products against applicable national and international safety and performance standards.

Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, providing guidance on certification requirements, testing procedures, project timelines, and compliance pathways.

Coordinate laboratory activities, including preparation of test instructions, technical documentation, and test data sheets.

Analyze test results, identify non-conformities, and provide recommendations for product compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, laboratory personnel, and external stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to testing methods, certification processes, and laboratory operations.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise across multiple product categories.

Ensure accurate documentation and communication of project progress, technical findings, and certification outcomes.

Preferred Education / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.

8-10 years of experience in product engineering, design validation, testing, certification, manufacturing, or compliance engineering.

Prior experience in electrical product testing and certification within a laboratory, certification body, testing organization, or product manufacturing environment.

Exposure to ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory systems is highly desirable.

Experience with global product certification programs and regulatory compliance requirements preferred.

Knowledge on UL, CSA, IEC CB Scheme certification and standards like, IEC/EN 60898-1, IEC/EN 61008-1, IEC/EN 61009-1, UL/IEC 60947 Series, UL 8085, UL 1561, IEEE C57.12.00, IEEE C57.12.28 standards, knowledge of IEC CB schemes and global certification would be an added advantage.

In-depth understanding of international standards and certification programs, including:

• IEC Standards
• EN Standards
• UL Standards
• CSA Standards
• NEMA Standards
• IEC CB Scheme

Working knowledge of standards such as:

• UL/IEC 60947 Series
• UL 508
• Related global product safety and performance standards
