Bardstown Bourbon Co. is part of Lofted Spirits, one of the largest American Whiskey distillers in the U.S.All employees of The Bardstown Bourbon Company must have the following characteristics:Appreciate and provide excellent customer serviceComfortable interacting daily with distillery customers as well as tour groups and guests in a hospitality focused environmentExcellent team playerJob Description/Responsibilities:Be able to handle 500 lb barrels of whiskey going in and out of the warehouseUnload new, empty barrels from trailers into the cistern roomLoading and unloading full barrels from warehouse trailers/circus wagonsEntering full barrels into ricksOperate machinery in the cistern room and warehouses in a safe mannerMaintain and clean warehouse buildings and siteFollow pre-determined instructions for removing/entering inventory (tracking locations as needed)Support and adhere to the job requirements for the departments about quality, food safety, environmental, health, and safetyCommitment to the Company's ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.Overtime as neededWorks all holidays that fall during the work week Monday – FridayOther duties as assigned by management.Qualifications/Requirements:The successful candidate will:Have a minimum of one year of relevant experience (Helpful, but not required)Have a high school diploma or GEDHave experience in a team-based manufacturing environmentTake directions from Manager, Supervisor, and Team LeadsHave good communication and interpersonal skillsBe accurate and consistent in performing dutiesHaving basic computer skillsStrong attributes in attendance, punctuality, teamwork, and attention to detailPhysical requirements:Must be able stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, and walk; sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally required to climb or balance.Employees must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulderMust be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.Must not be afraid of working heights and be able to ascend and descend ladders and stairs, as appropriate.Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.The Bardstown Bourbon Company is committed to equal opportunity in all aspects of employment.
