The Quality Improvement (QI) Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and evaluating projects and programs that advance IHCRC's mission, vision, and values and ensure compliance with accrediting bodies. This position drives a culture of continuous quality improvement and innovation with a focus on reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and maximizing patient satisfaction. The QI Manager is responsible for further developing and maintaining an infrastructure for data integrity, accurate and timely data reporting, and process refinement to maximize the flow of work system.

Essential Job Functions

• Collaborate with clinic leadership on the development, implementation, and monitoring quality improvement programs to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Collect data and develop reports for staffing needs analyses and service evaluations.
• Oversee data integrity initiatives.
• Assist in management of the patient satisfaction survey platform and the dissemination of results.
• Ensure completion of reports to the Board of Directors and Indian Health Service (IHS).
• Develop processes for displaying critical data related to quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote a culture of quality improvement through the entire organization by modeling behavior and training staff.
• Collaborate with staff to develop strategies for meeting quality goals.
• Support strategic planning initiatives.
• Develop and complete QI studies.
• Assist staff in developing and completing QI studies.
• Collaborate with clinic leadership to ensure that quality improvement requirements for accreditation are met.
• Lead the development of an annual quality improvement plan.
• Facilitate QI training sessions for staff at all levels of the organization.
• Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and Epidemiologist to continue developing the Strategy and Quality Improvement Department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required License, Certification, Education, Specialized Skills

• Master's degree in business administration, Quality Management, Health Care Administration, or Public Health is preferred. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Health Care Administration, or Public Health will be considered.
• Quality Improvement experience is required. A minimum of a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret data and organize data into meaningful reports.
• Must have strong writing skills.
• Must be a self-starter, multi-tasker, with ability to give direction to others.
• Ability to lead a team to accomplish department goals and objectives effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and training skills. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization.
