Cook/Chef

Creative Home Academy and Preschool, LLC in Memphis, TN is looking for one cook/chef to join our 12-person strong team. We are located on 1149 Semmes St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK by TBI/FBI and reliable. Shift is part time 20-22 hours per week. PTO Aflac Holidays and weekends off Paid Training Responsibilities Set up workstations Complete monthly inventory, par sheets, waste sheet, etc Create menus, shopping lists, allergy lists etc... Cook dishes to business standards for a licensed childcare program Follow health and safety guidelines per Health Departments requirements Complete USDA training and any other required trainings for a licensed childcare program Prepare ingredients (fresh whole foods) for use during shift Sliced and diced for children under 5 years old Trash out to street for pick up and return into place Food must taste good! Qualifications Proven working experience as a cook Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils Pay strong attention to detail Ability to listen and communicate effectively Be fun and positive Love to use fresh ingredients Food Handling Certification or can attain one before start date.
