Job Summary

• Perform first level of on-site technical, data recording and assessment within the manufacturing environment of customers
• Follow standard procedures with supervision available as needed to provide a high standard of fluid care support
• Participate in addition of chemicals including coolants, greases, oils, lubricants, and cleaners as directed by site staff
• Assist in maintenance of coolant filters, washers, paint systems, pumps, air handling systems, etc.
• Measure and record coolant parameters and maintain lubrication schedules
• Assist with sump changes, tank cleaning, and fluid system upkeep
• Liaise directly with customers regarding coolant conditions and enter results into databases
• Prepare detailed shift reports
• Assist in routine maintenance on equipment and fluid systems including product additions and filter changes
• Assist in disposal of contaminated materials in accordance with safety and environmental standards
• Assist in maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, glassware, incubators, etc.)
• Maintain tools and equipment such as pumps, sump suckers, and coolant dispensers
• Support general organization initiatives (inventory, storage rooms, labeling, etc.)
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to life-saving rules in potentially hazardous environments

Where applicable:

• Cut, mount, and prepare parts for metallurgical testing
• Perform surface etching and analysis
• Conduct hardness and microstructure testing

Pay

$18.00–$22.00/hr (based on experience)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimal to no manufacturing experience required
• Willingness to learn and work in an industrial environment
• Ability to obtain certifications/licenses if required

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Basic math and reading comprehension
• Data entry skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)
• Basic computer knowledge (email, internet, spreadsheets)

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Use hands and arms for handling equipment
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb as needed
• Work in small spaces and elevated areas
