Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 3+ months (High possibility of extension) Location: Bronx, NY 10461 Shift Time: 12*3 schedule – Day/ Night shifts available (Every other weekend required) Pay Range: Up to $2820 weekly ($75 - $80/hr on W2) Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D Nurse) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in multidisciplinary teamwork, patient assessment, and clinical decision-making. Key Responsibilities Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including monitoring vital signs, fetal heart rate, and contractions. Assist with labor management, including supporting natural and medicated births. Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management therapies as prescribed. Provide education and emotional support to patients and families before, during, and after labor. Assist physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners during deliveries and obstetric procedures. Monitor patients for complications such as hemorrhage, preeclampsia, or fetal distress. Facilitate post-delivery care for mother and newborn, including immediate assessments and interventions. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record. Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and regulatory standards. Participate in emergency situations, including neonatal resuscitation and maternal codes. Required Skills & Experience Minimum Two (2) years Labor & Delivery experience is required. Excellent communication, time management, and critical thinking abilities. Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR).
