Rehabilitation Technician

Rehabilitation Technician Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Full-Time Rehabilitation Technician to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Winchester, Massachusetts . Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour The Rehabilitation Technician plays an important role in supporting our Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy teams and helping residents receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with residents, thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment, and is interested in building experience in rehabilitation and skilled nursing. Rehabilitation Technician Responsibilities Assist Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists with daily therapy activities and treatment sessions as directed. Safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and transportation to and from therapy. Help prepare residents and treatment areas for therapy sessions. Set up, clean, organize, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Assist therapists with therapeutic activities and exercises within the scope of the role and under appropriate supervision. Transport and escort residents to therapy sessions in a timely, respectful, and compassionate manner. Provide encouragement and support to residents throughout the rehabilitation process. Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, patients, families, and staff. Clean and sanitize therapy equipment and treatment areas in accordance with facility standards. Monitor therapy supplies and equipment and notify the appropriate team member when supplies need to be replenished or equipment requires attention. Assist with maintaining organized therapy schedules and supporting day-to-day department operations. Accurately record attendance and other required information as directed by the therapy team. Communicate resident concerns, changes in condition, or safety issues promptly to the appropriate therapist or clinical team member. Follow all facility safety procedures, infection-control standards, and resident-care policies. Protect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. Work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation or therapy leadership. Rehabilitation Technician Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. LNA certification or prior experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting preferred. Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, healthcare, or a similar setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to working with older adults and individuals with varying levels of ability. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Dependable, punctual, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to safely assist with resident mobility, transfers, and transportation. Ability to follow instructions and work within the scope of the position.
