The ideal candidate will have experience developing detailed estimates across multiple construction disciplines, including Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator with a strong background in construction estimating and project cost management.The ideal candidate will have experience developing detailed estimates across multiple construction disciplines, including Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing).This position will work closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to develop accurate project budgets, evaluate costs, identify potential risks, and support projects from pre-construction through completion.Prepare detailed, line-item construction cost estimates.Develop and manage project budgets based on plans, specifications, and client requirements.Estimate costs across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP scopes.Review drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documents.Analyze labor, material, subcontractor, and vendor pricing.Evaluate bids and subcontractor proposals for accuracy and competitiveness.Perform cost forecasting and identify potential cost risks.Support value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities.Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.Track scope changes and update estimates and budgets accordingly.Collaborate with design, engineering, project management, and construction teams.Provide accurate cost information to support project and business decisions.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred.5-10 years of experience in construction cost estimating or project management.Strong understanding of construction estimating methodologies.Experience with multiple construction disciplines, preferably Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, subcontractor pricing, and project budgeting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Experience with construction estimating and takeoff software such as:BluebeamRSMeansPlanSwiftAdvanced Microsoft ExcelOther comparable estimating platforms are a plus.
