Job Details Location: MURRIETA, CA 92562 Position Type: Full‑Time/Part‑Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $95,000.00 – $100,000.00 Base + Commission/month Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Day Job Category: Real Estate Responsibilities As the temporary multifamily Property Manager, you are responsible for the success of your property by achieving weekly and monthly revenue goals, managing expenses to budget, and meeting other financial objectives set by the asset management team through effective management of the property and its on‑site team. Your focus is on the following: Managing a team of leasing and maintenance professionals to provide exceptional service and support to residents, employees, and vendors. Using multifamily property management software such as AMSI and Entrata to drive revenue, maintain competitive rental rates, ensure accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and timely rent collection each month. Hands‑on involvement in property operations, setting the tone and standard for work. Lead by example, assist with resident issues and leasing activities, support the maintenance team with work order management and repair and maintenance schedules. Prioritizing work and ensuring the property always looks its best and operates at its peak. Collaborating with regional and corporate management to staff the property, oversee payroll accuracy, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Engaging in difficult conversations with employees and residents, working with regional management on performance issues, and possibly terminating employment if necessary. Actively engaging in the surrounding community, tracking competitors, applying promotional strategies to increase leasing activity, and attracting high‑quality talent to fill open positions. Communicating with various organizational stakeholders to address operational issues promptly. Providing residents with a stress‑free and informed rental experience. Details This position will be a three‑month temporary assignment while the full‑time manager is on leave. You will work full‑time, generally on the busiest days of the week, including Fridays and Saturdays weekly (and at least one Sunday a month) and on holidays during peak business hours, including at least one closing shift weekly. During high‑traffic holiday periods, the position is scheduled according to company standards and schedules must be approved by the supervisor. The company offers medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance options. New employees accrue 40 vacation hours in the first year and earn paid sick leave per state requirements. Eligible employees also receive holiday pay (if working) or paid holidays (if scheduled off) for six holidays each year. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to ensure all essential duties are fulfilled. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak and write free of typos or grammatical mistakes. Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, vendors, staff, management, and others. Treat everyone with respect and dignity; accept responsibility, take ownership of tasks, follow through on commitments, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a proven ability to meet goals and deadlines. Team player with excellent leadership, supervisory, analytical, and reasoning skills. Have a natural disposition for sales and understand sales techniques and processes. Function well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience managing large multifamily real estate properties required. Minimum four years of residential property management experience with a proven track record in leasing or sales and a minimum of two years of experience supervising two or more employees required. Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office products in an office environment. Familiarity with general business and accounting concepts and practices; ability to read, understand, and develop financial statements; high‑school graduate‑level mathematical proficiency required. Valid driver’s license to operate company‑owned vehicles or to utilize own vehicle for work. Physical Requirements Work schedule: Must work on the busiest days of the week, including Fridays and Saturdays weekly (and at least one Sunday a month) and on holidays during peak business hours, including at least one closing shift weekly. Occasionally drive a company or personal vehicle for business. General office environment; lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds. Move around the property to perform assigned tasks, include sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs, and performing functions in various weather conditions and variable climates.
