Location: Detroit, MI A Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation is seeking an experienced NP or PA for urgent neuroendovascular locum coverage while recruiting for a permanent provider. Assignment Details:
- Dates: August 2025 - November 2025
- Schedule:
- 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in-house coverage
- Weekend shifts every 4th week
- No on-call duties
- Approximate Hours: 240 hours over 6 weeks
- Inpatient hospital-based rounding, consults, and postoperative care
- No OR or first assist procedural work required
- Manage acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, elective neurosurgical procedures, and postoperative management
- Patient load: ~10 patients per day
- APP works autonomously with off-site physician supervision available 24/7
- Basic knowledge of neurosurgery and stroke emergencies
- Ability to perform simple suturing for minor laceration repair
- No new graduates accepted
- EMR: eCare/Cerner
- Emergency privileges approved
- Credentialing in progress
