Apex has an opportunity for a Release Manager to join our team in a fast paced Financial Services industry client on an exciting project!Position: Release Manager Location: Remote Duration: 6 Mo. + (perm potential if local)Position Description:• Documents scope of software update requests• Captures and clarifies business requirements, translates them to functional requirements and performs gap/impact analysis• Collaborates with the project team and validates that all necessary requirements have been fulfilled• Collaborates with the development team and provides guidance related to requirements when needed• Researches software systems to understand existing functionalities and impact of potential changes• Keep apprised of new technology relevant to industry and company• Provides technical support for Fraud technology systems• Assists with the creation of the Test Data• Create easily digestible report formats when required• Provides support with the Release Management: scheduling and planning, as well as the controlling of the software's delivery process.• Responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of release as per the schedule.• Plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle. Involved with planning, testing, tracking, release, deployment, communication, and risk management.• Support the technical team with the environment setup requests, and coordination with the configuration teams.• Coordinate the release schedule depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.• Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.• Track the progress and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release.• Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities• Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.• Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.Requirements• Knowledge of SDLC• Experience working within Waterfall methodology• SQL, Oracle, Informatica, Java• Past Development experience preferred• Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systemMinimum Experience:• 10+ years of systems analysis experience including working with customers and project teams to launch successful projects that meet the requirements of the business• At least five years of release management experience• At least five years of financial industry experienceMost Important Factors:- BSA experience- Release Management experience- Strong technical background- Excellent communication skills- Ability to work under pressure- Team player with the ability to establish relationships easilyEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
