Travel PCU Registered Nurse - $2,236 per week

Overview Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri. Responsibilities Provide PCU/Stepdown care as an RN in a Progressive Care Unit. Care for high acuity orthopedic patients and post-operative orthopedic trauma patients, including total joints, ORIFs, fractures, laminectomy, hand surgery, bladder suspension, gynecological and eye surgeries as assigned. Administer blood products and assist with patient mobility. Chart with Epic electronic medical record system. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and float between departments, units, and facilities as needed. Job Details Location: Kansas City, Missouri Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with Level 1 trauma experience and high acuity orthopedic experience. Post-operative care experience for orthopedic trauma patients (e.g., total joints, ORIF, fractures, laminectomy, hand surgery). Experience with blood product administration and patient mobility support. Charting system experience: Epic (required). Preferred Experience Previous charge nurse experience. Certifications & Skills BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Blood product administration Isolation precautions/PPE Ortho trauma, PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown Peripheral line care/management PICC line management Surgical drains, wound care, total joint replacement Licensure Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license in hand at time of submission. Additional Requirements Willingness to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed.
