Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine – Physician Location: Aurora, Illinois Business Unit: Rush Medical Group Hospital: Rush Copley Medical Center Department: Ogden - Orthopedics Work Type: Full Time Clinical & Surgical Scope Perform 12–15 surgeries per week, with dedicated block scheduling from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Diagnose and treat sports‑related injuries, including ACL tears, rotator cuff injuries, and meniscus tears; perform arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgeries. Average 20+ patients per day in outpatient clinic with a structured schedule (8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM) and a dedicated lunch hour. Surgeries performed at Rush Copley Medical Center or the Ambulatory Surgery Center on Ogden. Work alongside a dedicated Medical Assistant and Nurse to ensure efficient patient flow and high‑quality care. Community Impact & Athletics Key physician for several local high school athletic programs and Aurora University. On‑site coverage for 4–5 home high school football games per year. Collaborate with athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other medical professionals to develop and implement treatment and rehabilitation plans. Schedule & Call Call rotation: 1:7, shared with a team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Qualifications MD or DO degree and Board Certification/Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery. Completion of a Sports Medicine Fellowship. Open to new graduates with a strong clinical background and a passion for sports‑related orthopedic care.
