Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as a Full-Time Special Education Teacher working with 4th and 5th grade students in a supportive school community near Joliet, IL. This contract role spans from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a possibility of extension for emergency days until June 7. Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Prior experience working with elementary students, specifically in grades 4 and 5, is preferred
• Strong background in foundational literacy and numeracy instruction
• Demonstrated success implementing academic interventions that elevate student outcomes
• Experience with IEP case management and documentation
• Collaborative approach to working with paraprofessionals and related service providers

Role Overview:

• Teach and support a diverse caseload of approximately 12 students with varying learning needs
• Split schedule potentially serving two schools
• Plan, deliver, and differentiate instruction to ensure student progress in all subject areas
• Manage IEP processes, including meetings, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Foster a positive learning environment in partnership with a dedicated classroom paraprofessional
• Collaborate closely with grade-level team members, families, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with all Special Education policies
