Healthcare - Network Specialist Advisor

We are currently seeking a Network Specialist Advisorto join our team in Detroit, MI.We are seeking a highly motivated Network Specialist to help us with networking projects for a large Healthcare customer’s highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels. The candidate will work with a core network team responsible for the modernization of the network enterprise. The modernization will leverage new SD WAN technology to improve efficiency, automation, and the ability to leverage various WAN connectivity options (e.g. MPLS, Broadband, 4G/5G).Job Responsibilities Include:Development, design, test, and implement SDWAN architectureConduct network planning, design, and initial implementation of new network project initiativesCoordination with team to procure the proper WAN circuit for the POCCoordinate with local Site ETs and TMs to coordinate installation and technician accessResponsible for configuration of the monitoring tools to incorporate WAN circuits into management tools for continuous monitoringPart of network engineering team to validate network design as per customer specifications including circuit protection, transport network selection, and interworking across networks;Provide engineering/deployment support during the implementation and turn up of new network nodes and related connectionsBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years of network project experienceMinimum of 5 years of Core network services connectivity and integration experienceBS/BA or equivalent experience or subject matter expertise in the service being providedCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA), or higherPreferred Skills:Experience and knowledge of WAN circuit provisioning, ACI, Cisco Nexus, Network Security deployment, and installationExtensive experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Services Routers (ASRs), Nexus, ACI and Integrated Service Routers (ISRs)Demonstrated knowledge of routing protocols and technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN, GREDemonstrated in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies including STP, MST, VLANSDemonstrated experience in overseeing and troubleshooting complex Local Area Networking (LAN) issues and resolving Wide Area Networking (WAN) problems and implementing, integrating, and supporting of cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutionsExcellent communication skillsCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and work experience with SD-WAN technologyDemonstrated experience providing technical leadership and training to lower level network engineersExperience in network engineering within the federal intelligence communityAbility to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary informationHighly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detailAble to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environmentPosting Date:Department:Network Tenet - 1498650021
