Accredited Medical Assistant - PRN Rheumatology

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Manage patient communications, including telephone triage, offering reassurance, education, and clear instructions.
• Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting all information in electronic medical records.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physicals, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications and logs.
• Coordinate patient testing, referrals, and follow-up communications, ensuring patients understand physician instructions and treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the clinical environment.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program.

Work Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm

Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
