Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting all information in electronic medical records.
• Observe and communicate any abnormal patient signs or symptoms to the physician, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions.
• Support physicians during testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications.
• Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, keeping patients informed.
• Distribute educational materials and assist patients in understanding treatment plans and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment.

Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required.

Work Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
