Job Summary: Ensure patient, physician, and team needs are met by expertly preparing, processing, screening, and reporting cytology, FNA, and histology specimens. Deliver accurate, timely, and courteous laboratory testing with professionalism and competence.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain high accuracy in all specimen handling and reporting.
- Perform quality control and maintenance tasks diligently.
- Comply with all regulatory agency guidelines and standards.
- Manage workload, process reports, and maintain files efficiently.
- Address and resolve problems proactively.
- Maintain productivity and adapt to assigned duties as needed.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in cytology.
Licensure/Certifications: Certified Cytologist with ASCP or equivalent regulatory agency certification.
Work Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm, PRN schedule.
This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
