Job Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team in a clinical role focused on supporting patient care through meticulous sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment. This position is vital to maintaining the highest standards of operating room safety and efficiency in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of all instruments, metal goods, and patient care equipment.
- Assemble and package instruments and implants, ensuring correct labeling and proper assembly.
- Operate sterilization equipment safely, including HIVAC sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, ETO, and Sterrad systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilizer charts, record books, and biological records.
- Manage inventory by checking, resupplying, and dispensing reusable sterile and clean items to various units.
- Adhere strictly to Body Substance/Standard Precautions, Respiratory and AFB isolation protocols, and comply with protective barrier requirements in Central Sterile.
- Load and unload sterilizing and cleaning equipment to ensure proper steam or gas sterilization.

Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must complete certification and obtain the Certified/Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) credential within one year of employment.
Work Shift: Day Shift, scheduled as needed (PRN).
