Job Overview

As a Nutrition Services Specialist, you will play a vital role in coordinating meal orders, serving patients, and maintaining quality assurance throughout the food service process. Your responsibilities will include managing meal orders via telephone, assisting patients with meal selections, and ensuring timely and accurate meal delivery. You will also act as a liaison between nutrition services and nursing units, addressing patient concerns and supporting dietary compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and process meal orders efficiently, ensuring compliance with diet orders.
• Serve meals professionally and assist patients in using meal ordering systems.
• Coordinate tray assembly and verify meal accuracy during tray line operations.
• Maintain food quality and safety standards following HACCP guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with dietitians, nursing staff, and other departments.
• Prepare tube feedings and manage pantry orders as needed.
• Perform quality assurance checks and address patient needs proactively.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in nutrition services or food service within a healthcare environment is beneficial but not mandatory.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with rotating shifts from 4pm to 8pm, primarily covering the second shift.
