Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic environment that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory requirements. Acute care settings include Medical, Surgical, Emergency, ICU, Pediatric, and Perianesthesia units.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Apply clinical expertise to assign patient care based on acuity and technical needs, continuously enhancing skills through evidence-based practice.
• Deliver outstanding guest relations to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate proactively to manage expectations and ensure a positive patient experience through rounding, timely responses, and professional conduct.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, supporting healthcare students, and fostering positive relationships.
• Prioritize safety for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to national safety standards, HIPAA, and Just Culture principles.
• Engage in professional growth opportunities including certifications, advanced degrees, and leadership development.
• Promote teamwork by inspiring and mentoring colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and building trust within the care team.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent acute care experience if from a non-accredited school.
• BSN preferred or required within five years of hire; MSN enrollment in accelerated programs accepted.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state board.

This position offers a second shift schedule with 36 hours per week in a regional healthcare setting located in the Midwest United States.
