RN - Acute Care Surgery Nurse
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in acute surgical care within a supportive and patient-centered environment. This role emphasizes delivering compassionate nursing care guided by professional standards such as the ANA Code of Ethics and state nursing regulations. You will collaborate closely with healthcare providers, patients, and families to ensure high-quality outcomes in various acute care settings including surgery units, emergency departments, intensive care, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage time and resources to prioritize patient care and unit needs.
- Apply evidence-based practices and continuously enhance clinical skills.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrating respect, integrity, and empathy.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Engage in professional development opportunities, including certifications and leadership programs.
- Participate actively in team collaboration, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with at least five years of acute care experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; advanced degrees or accelerated program enrollment accepted.
- Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty credentials.
Licensure:
Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board. This position offers night shift hours and is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States, providing a dynamic and rewarding work environment for nursing professionals committed to excellence.
