About the Role:

As a Cook at North Beach Rehabilitation Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by preparing appetizing and nutritious meals that cater to their diverse dietary needs. You will work closely with our Dietary Department to implement menu plans, manage food inventory, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your passion for cooking and commitment to quality will help us provide exceptional care to our residents, their families, and our staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to our menu plans and dietary needs

• Manage food inventory, monitor supplies, and order necessary items

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to safety and sanitation standards

• Collaborate with the Dietary Department to develop and implement menu plans

• Ensure that all food prepared is nutritious, appealing, and meets dietary requirements

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting

• Ability to lift, bend, and move heavy objects

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
