Medical Assistant Opportunity

Actalent is hiring Medical Assistants throughout Long Island. Locations Available: Amityville, Coram, Shirley, Riverhead. Upstate Locations available as well. Medical Assistant Diploma Required. Open to entry level candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and ensure they feel welcomed and respected throughout their visit.
• Perform patient intake, including collecting medical history, recording current symptoms, and updating information in the electronic medical record.
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and other clinical measurements.
• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and organized.
• Stock and restock exam rooms with medical supplies, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and cleanliness.
• Clean, maintain, and prepare medical instruments, including proper use of autoclave equipment for sterilization.

Pay Rate:

Medical Assistant Diploma: $20.50-$23.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)

Medical Assistant Diploma WITH NHA: $22-$25.50 an hour (Dependent on experience)

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Coram, NY.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
