You arrive at our precision shop ready to translate complex prints into efficient toolpaths. You fine-tune a program, set the first piece, check critical features, and collaborate with engineering and production to keep parts flowing. Quality checks, smart tweaks, and clear documentation are part of your rhythm—because reliable, repeatable results are what our customers count on.
What you'll do- Create, refine, and validate CNC programs for diverse milling and turning operations.
- Set up and run machines to prove out programs, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and throughput.
- Decode drawings, models, and specifications into precise machining strategies.
- Perform in-process and final inspections to confirm parts meet spec.
- Partner with engineering and production to diagnose and resolve machining challenges.
- Maintain clean, current documentation for programs, setups, and revisions.
- Lead and participate in continuous-improvement efforts that elevate safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Hands-on experience as a CNC programmer or equivalent role.
- Solid command of CNC processes and G-code programming.
- Fluency reading prints and schematics to drive machining decisions.
- Exposure to CAD/CAM (experience with GibbsCAM is a plus).
- Sharp troubleshooting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently and cross-functionally as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required; machining-related certificate or technical degree preferred.
- Advanced CNC programming capability.
- Efficient CNC setup and changeover practices.
- Strong understanding of machine geometry and alignment.
- Practical manual machining fundamentals.
