Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Epic experience is required.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation; experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone); care of patients with tubes/drains; IV start skills; blood products; wound care/dressing changes.

Special Requests: - Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: - Fast-paced observation unit with cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and other varied diagnoses. - RN ratios 1:5-6 on days and nights; in surge staffing, ratios could be up to 1:7-8. - CNA support at 1:12; no HUC. - Charge nurse may have a patient assignment and serves as a staff resource. - Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT 24/7, hospitalist on site days and virtual in the evenings/overnight, intensivist 24/7, and remote telemetry monitoring with tele tech. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Massimo monitors in all rooms. - Free Parking

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Floating within Region 3 as needed, within scope of practice: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
