Program Overview The I.T team supports key agency applications such as case management, HR, finance, CRM, and city-mandated systems, enabling efficient operations and informed decision-making. Through strong governance, system optimization, and user support, it empowers staff with the tools needed to deliver services effectively. Job Summary: Henry Street Settlement is seeking a hands-on IT Data Systems Administrator to help modernize and support the technology platforms our teams rely on across 50+ programs in social services, education, arts, and health care, reporting to the Director of Information and Technology. This role is ideal for someone who combines hands‑on systems administration with strong stakeholder partnerships who can translate operational needs into well-governed, secure, and user-friendly technology solutions. You will work closely with program teams, organizational leadership, vendors, and IT colleagues to administer systems, improve data quality, support technology adoption, and ensure platforms are governed consistently with Henry Street standards. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience. 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or enterprise SaaS and business applications. Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, permissions, and access management. Experience administering or supporting enterprise business applications such as case management, CRM, HRIS, client services, or other line-of-business systems. Experience managing application access, roles, permissions, configuration, user accounts, and application support. Understanding of data governance, access control, retention, security, and compliance principles. Experience producing reports, validating data accuracy, and troubleshooting data-quality issues. Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ownership of assigned systems, projects, and operational responsibilities. Ability to translate technical concepts and system requirements for nontechnical stakeholders. Ability to manage competing priorities, follow established governance and change processes, and communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers appropriately. Preferred Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, SC-400, or equivalent. Experience working in nonprofit, healthcare, education, human services, or other multi-program environments. Experience supporting migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. Experience with SharePoint information architecture, site design, metadata, permissions, and governance. Experience with Microsoft Purview, including retention, DLP, information protection, or related compliance capabilities. Experience administering vendor-hosted SaaS applications. Experience with data governance, system integrations, reporting, or data-quality initiatives. Experience supporting system implementations, migrations, upgrades, or application modernization initiatives. Job Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Entra ID. Administer Henry Street’s business and data systems, including AWARDS, ClientTrack, and other agency applications, including configuration, access, permissions, and ongoing system support. Partner with program and administrative teams to understand operational needs and translate requirements into effective system solutions and improvements. Manage user access, security groups, roles, and permissions across assigned systems in accordance with established governance and security practices. Support data quality, reporting accuracy, and the identification and resolution of data or system inconsistencies. Configure and support Microsoft Purview capabilities related to data protection, retention, information protection, and compliance. Coordinate with application vendors on troubleshooting, upgrades, integrations, product changes, and technical escalations. Support system implementations, migrations, upgrades, integrations, testing, and other technology modernization initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve complex Microsoft 365 and business application issues. Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration records, and administrative knowledge. Provide user guidance, training, and support to promote effective adoption and use of agency technology platforms. Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, usability, governance, data integrity, and operational efficiency. Additional duties as assigned Essential Physical Job Functions: Ability to move through multiple office locations. Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 30 lbs.
