Senior Oracle Fusion Cash Management / Receivables Functional Consultant (Contract - T&M)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Fusion Cash Management / Receivables Functional Consultant on a Time & Materials (T&M) contract basis to support a strategic Cash Application Automation initiative.

The consultant will lead functional discovery, solution design, prototyping, configuration, testing, and business adoption activities focused on automating cash application and bank reconciliation processes within Oracle Fusion. This is a highly hands-on functional role requiring deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Receivables and Cash Management. The consultant will work closely with Finance, Treasury, OTC, and IT stakeholders to design and implement best-practice automation solutions.

This is not a Project Manager role. The successful candidate will be expected to actively configure the application, facilitate workshops, and support end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to understand current cash application and reconciliation processes.
• Assess existing Oracle Fusion Receivables and Cash Management configurations and identify automation opportunities.
• Design and demonstrate solution prototypes leveraging Oracle Fusion capabilities.
• Configure and optimize:
  • AutoMatch rules
  • AutoCash rules
  • Lockbox processing
  • Bank Reconciliation rules
  • Bank statement imports and processing

• Support integration and processing of bank statement files, including BAI2 formats.
• Develop functional design documentation, configuration workbooks, and test scenarios.
• Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot issues related to cash application, receipt processing, bank statement imports, and reconciliation activities.
• Provide recommendations on Oracle Fusion best practices and process improvements.
• Work directly with Finance and business stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of the solution.

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Expertise

• 8+ years of Oracle Financials consulting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Oracle Fusion Receivables (AR)
  • Oracle Fusion Cash Management (CM)

• Deep expertise configuring:
  • AutoMatch Rules
  • AutoCash Rules
  • Lockbox Processing
  • Bank Reconciliation Rules

• Experience with cash application automation initiatives and AR transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of receipt processing, customer payments, bank reconciliation, and exception management.

Technical & Integration Knowledge

• Experience working with BAI2 bank statement files and bank statement processing.
• Understanding of inbound bank interfaces and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with integration and technical teams.

• Proven experience performing:
  • Requirements discovery

  • Prototype demonstrations

  • UAT support
• Ability to work independently and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Stakeholder Management

• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Comfortable challenging assumptions and recommending best-practice solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials cloud implementations or transformations.
