Properly remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power toolsDetermine grades and sizes of bolts, pipes, tubing, cables, and wiresPossess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding principles, rigging, overhead cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment operationPrepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPEParticipate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety CultureDemonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needsUnderstand start up, shutdown, and emergency proceduresResponsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work areaWhat You'll NeedHigh School Diploma or GED, OR minimum 1 year of experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenanceMinimum 1 year field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment preferredMust be able to provide own toolsAbility to utilize precision measurement instrumentsMust be able to work a 12 hour shift, which includes overtime, weekends and holidaysDemonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needsAbility to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spacesAbility to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shiftPush and pull up to 90 lbs and carry 50 lbsAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to learn quickly and multitask requiredBasic computer skillsStrong communication skills required.
