Senior Director, Sourcing and Contracts

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Sourcing and Contracts to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This senior leadership role will own sourcing and contracting strategy in support of core operations and business objectives. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders to shape procurement plans, manage supplier performance, and drive disciplined execution across competitive bids, awards, and contract administration. It also plays a key role in mitigating risk, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting budgeting and strategic management efforts across the organization. Location: Arlington, VA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $250,000 – $270,000 annually Responsibilities Build sourcing, procurement, and contracting plans to support business operations Develop sourcing strategies to maximize value and meet business objectives Collect and coordinate purchase and contract requests from business stakeholders Set standards for executing competitive bid events and preparing award recommendations Negotiate service terms and conditions to mitigate risks Ensure compliance by securing internal approvals for contract deviations Issue purchase orders and execute contracts following corporate policies Qualifications 10-15 years in sourcing, contracting, procurement, or supply chain leadership roles Experience leading teams of 5 to 10 direct reports Strong knowledge of sourcing, contracting, procurement, and delivery processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office Suite Able to adapt to rapidly changing assignments and priorities Detail-oriented with strong reporting skills Willingness to work in-office daily and travel periodically Benefits Access to a collaborative team environment Opportunity for leadership development and mentoring Participation in strategic business management and budgeting sessions Involvement in supplier performance management programs Potential for international travel to business locations and suppliers Our client is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ladders
