HVAC Operator - (Taylor, TX) - Austin Industrial

Rate: $36 USD per hour Overview Austin Industrial is a 100% employee‑owned company offering premier maintenance, construction, and soft craft services across the U.S. The HVAC Operator position is full‑time, 40 hours per week (5/8's), with no per diem and no relocation assistance. Responsibilities Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair of chill water, heating water, and condensation pumps Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain, and operate mechanical systems, motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, glycol, hot water, and steam distribution equipment to optimize performance and energy use Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC systems Order and maintain parts needed for HVAC equipment repair and maintenance Manage relationships with major vendor accounts Safeguard district assets appropriately Perform work wearing required personal protective equipment and maintain full mobility for upper and lower body tasks such as reaching overhead, stooping, kneeling, and working at heights Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education – No minimum education requirements. Experience – 3‑5 years of industrial HVAC experience, including work on chillers. Licenses & Certifications – OSHA 10 (preferred).
