Description UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center - Estes Park, CO EVMC Clinic Urgent Care Support Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $35.29 - $54.71 per hour, dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is onsite; remote or hybrid not offered. Summary Delivers care to patients, performing established nursing procedures using population‑specific guidelines within an urgent care environment. Triages walk‑in and call‑in patients and assesses per approved protocols. Responsibilities Performs assessment and triage of walk‑in patients per protocol, handles emergency situations, utilizes nursing process to coordinate and provide care, and documents plan of care. Seeks appropriate assistance and uses clinic resources to enhance clinical decision‑making; prepares patients for examinations, obtains health history, takes accurate vital signs, reviews medications, and documents phone calls. Assists with office procedures, administers treatments and performs diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician, administers injections and medications, performs IV therapy, and records all per protocol. Intervenes in complex patient and family situations and utilizes community resources; applies evidence‑based practice within the nursing process. Demonstrates critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. Requirements Graduate of an accredited or state‑board‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum 6 months of nursing experience; preferred 2 years. BLS or CPR card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) valid through sixty days of hire; PALS preferred.
