Bioprocess Scientist (Protein Purification)

$22 per hour

Join a top-tier global life sciences leader in Eugene, OR, as a Scientist I, Manufacturing. In this role, you will play a critical part in producing and purifying cutting-edge fluorescent protein-based products, utilizing advanced bioconjugation and separation techniques in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

responsibilities:

Produce and analyze fluorescent protein-based products to consistently meet customer requirements and production timelines.
Purify and analyze fluorescent dye-labeled antibodies and biomolecules using HPLC, FPLC, and gravimetric separation techniques.
Analyze and interpret complex scientific data using specialized technical expertise.
Maintain professional communication across cross-functional teams to support business goals.
Ensure all work aligns with departmental standards for safety, quality, and timely delivery.

qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
Proficiency in general chemical and biological lab techniques, including antibody handling, UV-vis spectroscopy, and pipetting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills paired with excellent organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred:

Hands-on experience with bioconjugation chemistry.
