Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license

Schedule/Hours:

• Schedule follows facility assignment; flexibility is valued to meet patient and unit needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing evaluations for individuals requiring mental health care
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in coordination with an interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, monitor their effects, and document patient responses
• Use de-escalation and therapeutic communication techniques to promote a safe, supportive environment
• Educate patients and families regarding psychiatric conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies
