OB/GYN Physician - Full-TimeMount Pleasant, MichiganJob SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate OB/GYN physician to join a growing multidisciplinary healthcare team in Mount Pleasant, MI. The physician will provide comprehensive women's healthcare services including preventive care, prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecologic procedures, and surgical interventions.This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care, inpatient OB coverage, and operating room procedures within a collaborative and patient-centered environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive OB/GYN care including:Preventive women's health servicesPrenatal, labor & delivery, and postpartum careDiagnosis and treatment of reproductive health conditionsMenstrual disorders, menopause management, STI treatment, and contraception counselingPerform in-office procedures including:Pap smearsPelvic and breast examsColposcopiesIUD placements/removalsBiopsiesPerform surgical procedures such as:Cesarean sectionsHysterectomiesLaparoscopic proceduresCollaborate with physicians, nurses, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure quality patient careMaintain timely and accurate medical documentationParticipate in on-call coverage and hospital roundsEducate and counsel patients regarding reproductive and preventive healthcareUtilize telehealth services when appropriateParticipate in quality improvement and risk management initiativesSchedule & CallTypically 4 clinic days per week1 operating room/procedure day per weekShared call rotation currently 1:4, expected to become 1:5 with new providerQualificationsMD or DO from an accredited medical schoolBoard Eligible or Board Certified in OB/GYNActive and unrestricted Michigan medical license (or willing to obtain)Active DEA and controlled substance licenseNRP Certification requiredAbility to obtain and maintain hospital privilegesNew graduates are welcome to applyPractice SettingCombination of outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital coverageAdult female patient population (18+)Collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentEMR-based practice with supportive clinical staffBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance, STD, and LTDRetirement plan with employer matchPaid time offCME reimbursementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Eligible employer for HRSA Loan Repayment ProgramInterview ProcessInitial virtual interview available for out-of-area candidatesOn-site interview for local candidatesIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is team-oriented, compassionate, comfortable with both clinic and surgical responsibilities, and willing to participate in call coverage while delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
