Licensed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities Perform low-stress feline restraint and handling Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, dental procedures, and diagnostic workups Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per protocol Conduct in-house lab work: blood chemistry, CBC, urinalysis, cytology Operate digital radiography, ultrasound, and anesthesia monitoring equipment Induce, monitor, and recover feline patients under anesthesia Place IV catheters and support critical care patients Maintain aseptic technique during surgery and sample collection Document all patient care in PIMS system Communicate treatment plans and post-care instructions with clients Mentor Junior level staff members Qualifications Active Florida Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential, or eligible for licensure through the Florida Board of Veterinary Medicine Graduate of AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program Passed VTNE and Florida Laws & Rules Exam Proficient in feline anatomy, pharmacology, and disease processes Experience with anesthesia, IV catheterization, dental prophylaxis, and radiography Fear Free or Cat Friendly Practice training is a plus Strong communication skills and client-first mindset Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Extended periods of standing and walking Manual dexterity for handling instruments and small patients Reasonable accommodations available upon request What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Paid Time Off Paid holidays Paid Health insurance SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with employer match Paid Continuing Education days + CE budget License fees paid by clinic Feline-exclusive caseload — no dogs, no chaos Small, supportive team where your work is seen and valued Why Cat Care Clinic of Naples We are a small, independently-owned practice with a clear focus: feline medicine, elevated.
