Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced part-time CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of materials, supporting various construction projects. Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dozers, and Caterpillar machinery to support construction activities.
• Transport construction materials to designated sites while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance needs.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by managing material loads and ensuring proper placement.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to coordinate tasks efficiently on active job sites.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and fuel usage for record-keeping purposes.
• Perform routine maintenance on trucks and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance throughout projects

Skills

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including dump trucks, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dozers, and tankers.
• Experience operating various types of construction machinery such as horizontal drills and paving equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation on construction sites.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
• Construction site experience with familiarity in handling materials like gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris.
