Job Summary: Maintains the event space, public space and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well-maintained venue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repairs, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items as directed by management.
• Adheres to the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
• Makes records of repairs made, or areas needing further attention.
• Performs various tasks to include but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well-maintained venue as directed by management.
• Maintains the cleanliness of areas repaired or touched up.
• Travel, as necessary, to different properties/venues
• Assist coworkers with completion of assignments when needed
• Perform any general cleaning tasks
• Keep work area clean and well organized
• Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
• Perform all reasonable requests by the management team.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Some trade school preferred
• One year or more experience in hospitality related industry in similar capacity preferred.
• Basic experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Basic English language communication and mathematical skills in order to communicate with co-workers fully comprehend job assignments and perform accurate simple arithmetic functions.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must have a positive attitude about service, teamwork, and motivation to go above and beyond.
• Basic English language communication skills in order to communicate with customers and coworkers, fully comprehend job assignments and to follow manufacturer's instructions.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
• Able to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including meeting productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop on a consistent basis.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push and pull up to 100 lbs with or without assistance.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to understand directions for using tools and machinery and maintaining safety and sanitation.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all equipment and tools along with other tasks as directed.
