Job Title: Analytical Chemist Duration : 10 + Months(Contract) Location : Melrose Park IL Pay rate : $30-31/hr On W2 Overview Key Responsibilities Communicate work-related issues clearly and effectively to management and peers. Perform accurate routine testing using instrumental analytical methods, including HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and ICP-MS, with an emphasis on chromatography to meet departmental objectives. Update and revise SOPs and MOAs through Documentum, as directed by the supervisor, to support USP compliance. Provide technical support for method validation, verification, transfers, and evaluations. Troubleshoot analytical instruments by applying problem-solving skills and consulting technical literature or vendors when necessary. Provide technical guidance and support to Associate Scientists as needed. Assist with the formal training of laboratory personnel on topics such as GMP, laboratory safety, and new employee onboarding. Maintain accurate records of all work performed for assigned projects and document testing activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Manage workload and time effectively based on departmental priorities, using sound judgment and objective reasoning. Perform peer reviews of analytical data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, or an equivalent physical science discipline. Typically, 1–4 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, along with familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations. Hands-on experience and knowledge of chromatographic methods and related chromatography data systems, such as Empower. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
