This position is a unique Product Development Engineering job because our team designs powertrain solutions for high profile applications. These include the F-150, F-150 Raptor R, Mustang GT, Mustang Darkhorse, and Mustang Darkhorse SC. We collaborate with Ford Racing on specialty products, and provide technical expertise to the track teams when required. This position is a salary grade 5 to a salary grade 8. Salaries can range from $65,100-$166,200. It is for an engine component design and release engineer on the V8 Coyote/Predator programs, with a focus on core engine components, such as structural aluminum castings, steel forgings, injected molded plastic, and front end accessory drive (FEAD) components.What you'll do...Design & Release new and existing components/sub-systemsCreate & own the 3D models & 2D drawings for assigned componentsLead sub-system Component Program Module Team (CPMT) activitiesLead WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System); alerts, concerns and notice processingLead resolution of major design, manufacturing, program, and launch issuesLead management of Tier 1 suppliersWork collaboratively with CAE resources in support of the analysis on the design responsible components (Structural, Thermal, CFD)Create, complete, approve DVPs and oversee testing in support of robust validationDevelop and maintain CPMT documents, including appropriate quality documents (FEDE, ESOW, DFMEA, PTDV, e3P, SCCAF’s, Global Integrator, OPTEX, APQP/PPAP, 543 Chart etc.) for program specific sub-system responsibilities.Support all Program Meetings (EPMT, Design Review, DPMT, Change Control, etc…)Work directly with suppliers, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), and launch teams to support program requirements and resolve quality issuesInterface with engine dynamometer testing teamInterface with cross-functional teams, such as purchasing, mating components, calibration, & manufacturingSupport prototype engine build Program Attribute Team (PAT) (BOM, inspection and prototype fit reviews)Support travel, both domestic and international, when requiredFull timePosting Date: 2026-09-21
