7.5 HR SENIOR KEYBOARD SPECIALIST

This is a 12 Month, 7.5 hour (7:30am - 3:30pm) position in the HighSchool Special Education Department. The candidate would be responsible for the following: Prepares correspondence, documents, records and other written material in final or draft form. Prepares, stores and retrieves lists and documents. Answers telephone and gives out routine information. Sorts, date stamps and distributes mail and packages. Serves as receptionist and greets clients and/or visitors. Maintains alphabetic, numeric and/or chronological files of correspondence, documents and materials by coding and filing new material, searching for requested material and periodically purging obsolete material. Other clerical duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

OPEN-COMPETITIVE:

Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience which shall have involved keyboarding on a personal computer.

PROMOTIONAL:

Twenty-four (24) months of permanent competitive status as a Keyboard Specialist, Typist or Clerk-Typist.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
