Part-Time Psychiatrist Outpatient Family Practice

Practice Overview

We are a patient-centered family medicine practice seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care for our established patient population. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with primary care providers to deliver integrated, whole-person care in an outpatient setting.

Position Summary

The Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a range of mental health conditions , supporting continuity of care within the family practice. The position focuses on outpatient psychiatric services with an emphasis on collaboration, accessibility, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits

• Diagnose and manage common mental health conditions such as:
  • Depression

  • Anxiety disorders

  • ADHD

  • Mood disorders

• Provide medication management and treatment planning

• Collaborate closely with family medicine providers and care team members

• Review and interpret clinical information and laboratory results as needed

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medication use

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Follow evidence-based clinical guidelines and best practices

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  
  
• Active, unrestricted state medical license

• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)

• Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred

• Strong communication and collaborative care skills
