American Construction & Concrete is seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator with a strong background in structural and building concrete construction .
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience estimating structural and building concrete projects
Strong knowledge of concrete foundations, footings, foundation walls, and slabs
Experience estimating reinforced concrete walls and structural concrete
Ability to perform accurate concrete, formwork, reinforcing steel, and labor takeoffs
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings
Understanding of rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, dowels, reinforcing details, and concrete specifications
Experience determining means and methods, crew requirements, production rates, equipment, and durations
Ability to develop complete estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions
Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations
Ability to identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and constructability concerns
Understanding of the complete concrete construction process from excavation and foundations through finished slabs
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, competitive estimates
Comfortable working with project management and field personnel during estimate handoff and preconstruction
Preferred Experience
We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in:
Building foundations and footings
Reinforced concrete foundation walls
Structural concrete
Slabs-on-grade
Equipment pads and housekeeping pads
Concrete stairs, ramps, and structural features
Formwork systems
Reinforcing steel
Commercial, institutional, industrial, and government construction
This position is focused on structural/building concrete estimating. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to sidewalks, curb, gutter, paving, and other site concrete may not be the right fit for this position.
