Job Title: RN - Diagnostic Cardiology Profession: RN Specialty: Diagnostic Cardiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift - 40 Weekdays Hours per Shift: 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM (1 hour lunch) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with cardiac experience License: RN Certifications: BLS; ACLS; PALS (preferred) Must-Have: - TEEs - Stress testing - EKG interpretation - IV management - Cardioversion - Mild sedation experience - Infusion Description: The RN will provide care within the diagnostic cardiology specialty. The department averages 110 patients per day across various studies including TTE and stress tests. Daily stress tests encompass stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, and other advanced cardiac diagnostics. The patient types commonly include heart failure and those requiring advanced cardiac diagnostics. Additional responsibilities involve processing chemotherapy and renal transplant evaluations. The facilities are equipped with advanced technology, including EMR and specialized echocardiography machines. Support within the department includes a dedicated cardiac ultrasound educator and additional staff. The department culture is patient and family-focused, emphasizing high-quality, fast-paced, and academic practices.
