Travel RN – Ortho Neuro (Telemetry), Nights

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-trauma, surgical, and medically complex patients
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Demonstrate competence in drug titration and operation of unit equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and lift equipment
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
• Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible for or active in the state of Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification (may begin assignment without, but must obtain prior to start date)
• Demonstrated competence in drug titration in an inpatient setting
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Inpatient orthopedic nursing experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
