Job Title:  Non-Invasive Cardiologist - with an interest in Inherited Cardiovascular Disease

• Experience Required: Board-certified/eligible cardiologist with a passion for Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases, genomic and precision medicine. The Director and others would provide additional advanced training
\n
• Desired Interest: in imaging with inherited cardiovascular diseases, sports cardiology.
\n
• Team Environment: Join a well-established team of non-invasive cardiologists, an electrophysiologist, a heart failure specialist, experienced advanced practice providers, and two genetic counselors.
\n
• Mission: Advancing next-generation genomic testing to improve diagnosis and treatment through precision medicine.
\n
• Clinical Focus: Heart muscle disorders, cardiac arrhythmias, aortopathies and related conditions.

• Hospital Affiliation: York Hospital ? a 579-bed teaching hospital and Level I trauma center, featuring eight residency programs including Internal Medicine and Family Practice, and a cardiology fellowship.

Duties and Responsibilities \n
\n
Essential Functions: \n

\n
• Examination and evaluation to identify, prevent, diagnose and treatment of diseases related to cardiovascular disease as well as other contributing disease states as presented.
\n
• Perform technical patient care procedures ranging from echocardiography, diagnostic cardiac catheterization, minor surgical interventions, and or other related intervention to diagnosis and treat patients? condition.
\n
• Read non-invasive cardiac and vascular imaging as allowed by organizations bylaws and individual physicians credentials. Testing may include echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, stress testing, and nuclear stress testing.
\n
• Prescribe and administer medications in the treatment of patient?s cardiovascular disease and other medical disorders.
\n
• Monitor the effectiveness of treatments to make necessary changes or modifications to ensure high quality patient outcomes.
\n
• Maintain current cardiovascular medical knowledge.
\n

• Participates in Medical Staff, Cardiology Practice, and Service Line activities as required and / or requested.
\n
• Observe the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Hospital, Medical Staff, Medical Group and Service Line.
\n
• Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.

• Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

• Document patient records and progress including symptoms, medications, and treatments.

• Participates in research and other scholarly activities.
