Front Office Coordinator

Position: Front Office Coordinator Salary: $18.92 Negotiable Location: Gaming Division Reports to: Hotel Manager

Responsibilities:

• Must adhere to and make sure their team adheres to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Hotel Department.
• Must dress professionally.
• Adhere to the highest service standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and expedite traffic flow in lobby for efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Respond to guest inquiries in an efficient, courteous and respectful manner.
• Make schedule adjustments when necessary and inform the Hotel Manager.
• Evaluate and monitor the ongoing performance of team members to ensure exceptional guest service is provided.
• Maintain awareness of and effectively communicate to other staff and guest's current promotions, events and programs.
• Create and complete daily reports from the hotel management system.
• Assist in the on-going training and development of all front desk team members.
• Assume responsibility and perform duties of team members when there are staff shortages or when team members need assistance.
• Coach and counsel team members when the need arises.
• Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
• Carry out all assignments given by the Hotel Manager.
• Keep the Hotel Manager and in their absence the Hospitality Director informed of all pertinent information daily.

Qualifications & Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• An associate's degree in hospitality, business, hotel/restaurant management or related field is preferred.
• Previous supervisor/management experience required, preferably in casino/hotel environment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Must have the ability to learn hotel software.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule when required.
• Must have exceptional guest service skills.
• Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships between departments and employees.
• Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and implement policies and procedures.
• Ability to plan and multi-task.
• Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
• Must follow MICS and TICS requirements per gaming division.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance required.
